Behind the Brand

Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved fashion. Whether it was playing dress up as a girl or traveling to Round Top to hunt for treasures, expressing myself through my personal style is something I’ve always been passionate about.

From the time I could walk, my mom taught me the value of a good deal. Growing up, we loved to go thrifting and consignment shopping to find the best brands for the best price. She encouraged me to always wear something different and to standout, and I would follow her lead because she has the best style!

As I grew older, that desire to standout from the crowd only grew. My mom and I would travel to Round Top, Texas during their is annual antique shows and I just fell in love with all of the hand designed, one of a kind piece people created. Creating pieces that were unique and rare was always a concept that excited & interested me!

After sitting on this dream for way too long, and after many “are you SURE, God?!” prayers, I took the risk and started The G’s Knees. I was terrified and extremely under qualified, with no idea how to start my own business. All I knew is I had to step out in and live by faith, and most of the time that means taking blind, bold risks of obedience. I clung to the promises in Ephesians 3:20, that our God can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine—nothing is impossible or too big for Him. From this verse, I became passionate about helping others also be bold, not just in their life, but in their style.

I began traveling for pop up events and created a custom bar called the Be Bold Bar. The Be Bold Bar gives customers the opportunity to completely customize their very own piece, having hundreds of patches, fabric trims, and embellishments to choose from. It is so much fun!

Because I never grew out of loving a good deal, you’ll find a lot of amazing brands including Daydreamer and Free People that I‘ve revamped, because you deserve amazing quality and one of a kind pieces!

Thank you so much for supporting me and this dream! I hope these pieces give you confidence to be bold in every area of your life—you are valuable!
